Popularity cost for parish: -32
Only one castle may appear in a parish at one time.
These castles periodically send out very big plunder waves at a single player’s castle.
Because of the cost to the popularity of the villages in the parish for which the wolf is occupying, this castle must be taken out as quickly as possible. It is possible to take the wolf castles yourself, but it can be costly.
The biggest wolf castles contain great towers manned by 25 archers each and can extremely costly to attack. It’s recommended to try to clear as many of these towers first as possible. Huge amounts of honour can be gained by successive attacks on a wolf castle but if you’re trying to get rid of it as quickly as possible then the best thing to do is try to punch a hole into the keep and get pikemen there as quickly as possible.
If you want to gain the maximum amount of honour from the castle then you can try to kill all the troops and castle walls in sections. Good attacks can land over 200,000 honour.
The wolf castles can be very thick in terms of the walls surrounding the keep but they can also have large moats surrounding them. For the walls a large force of catapults will demolish them very quickly but for moats then you have to use a large force of infantry, preferably pikemen because of their health, to dig up the moat.
Certain wolf castles do contain ballista meaning they can hit your catapults.
